There are so many ways that you can get involved and support the Haliburton Highlands Outdoors Association. Below are some of the options from becoming a member to donating to one of our programs. We are also always looking for anyone interested in volunteering at the HHOA Haliburton Hatchery or looking to contribute their skills by joining our Board of Directors.
The HHOA has hundreds of members from our community and also many who have come to Haliburton from areas across the Province and beyond. Our members are committed to the sustainabloe management and use of our resources. Members receive benefits, such as discounts for OFAH memberships, access to facilities and the archery course, and our quarterly newsletter. Become a member of the HHOA and help us conserve and enhance the fish and wildlife habitats of the Haliburton Highlands. To find out more about becoming a member of the H.H.O.A check out our membership page and online application.
The HHOA is a community-based organization, and our successes are a result of the efforts of our volunteers. We are always happy to welcome new volunteers. Volunteers can become involved in a number of different projects or areas of interest including: daily feeding and care, egg collection, fish stocking, lake access clean-up, newsletter, events, public tours and education…and many more! If you are interested in joining the H.H.O.A as a volunteer check out our volunteer page and submit an application.
The Haliburton Highlands Outdoors Association (HHOA) objectives and programs are administered by a Board of Directors, who themselves operate in a volunteer capacity. The Board of Directors is voted in annually, and abides by the HHOA Constitution. If you are interested in joining our board of directors or contributing to one of our working committees please visit our Join the Board page for more information.
There are a number of ways that your organization or business can become involved in assisting the Haliburton Highlands Outdoors Association and the goals of our fish hatchery. We aim to make our facility one of the best of its kind in Ontario. Through donation and sponsorship, you can take advantage of increased exposure through our facility, events and media programs. Your support will contribute directly to all the valuable community programs we operate yearly. Visit our Become a Sponsor page to find out more.
As a not-for-profit venture, with charitable status, the HHOA depends on the generosity of the community, its members and visitors to sustain operations and reach our goals. Donations in any amount are appreciated. Donations help steward, research, and restore fish and wildlife and their habitats in Haliburton County. Charitable receipts are issued for donations. Exceptional donors are recognized on our “Wall of Honour”. For more information on making a donation or to fill out our online donation form with secure paypal payment please visit our “Donate” page.
